@frasierspears quote “Being able to type correctly the first time is an artefact of a typewriter mentality. where correcting the text was very expensive and time consuming and ruined the final product if you like. Whereas the way that we’re looking at it now is that it’s not typing correctly the first time that’s the major skill, its proofreading what you’ve typed. That’s also for typos and autocorrect mistakes. In some ways that’s a more sophisticated skill for children to read it back and just see where autocorrect has inserted the wrong word.”
